“Science of science” (also called “logology”) is a broad discipline that investigates science. Its themes include the structure and relationships of scientific fields, rules and guidelines in science, education and training programs in science, policy and funding in science, history and future of science, and relationships of science with people and society.
This also relates to epistemology, theory of knowledge.
Over the course of my career, I have gained experience and/or expertise in multiple disciplines, including medicine, pathology, microbiology, immunology, genetics, genomics, molecular biology, epidemiology, statistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, nutrition, pharmacology, etc. I have been developing trans-interdisciplinary science, especially molecular pathological epidemiology (MPE). My transdisciplinary experience and expertise enable me to further consider how science should be educated and conducted. Especially, establishments of rules and standards are important tasks.
